Dr. I-Hsum Lee is an Associate Professor whose research focuses on intelligent robotics, smart systems, robot software integration, and AI-based mechatronic applications. His work combines deep learning, Robot Operating System (ROS), autonomous navigation, cloud robotics, and robotic manipulation for practical industrial and assistive applications.

Research Highlights

  • Intelligent Robotics: Development of deep-learning-based robotic systems and information systems.
  • Private Cloud Parallel Computing: Building private cloud environments with Hadoop to provide high-performance parallel computation for robots.
  • ROS Integration: Integrating Robot Operating System (ROS) for communication, backend monitoring, and coordination of single and multi-robot systems.
  • Multimodal Deep Learning: Combining unimodal and multimodal neural networks for intelligent robotic applications in industrial environments.
